The old Egypt and licorice
as burial objects

The sweet path into the world beyond
Licorice roots haven even been found in Tutankhamen’s grave and he was Pharaoh around 1333 to 1323 b.c.. The clean and cut licorice roots have been used more than 3500 years ago as worthy and luxurious gifts. Maybe even then to “sweet talk” some one.

Nowadays one finds the licorice root and the extracts still in pharmaceuticals, herbal teas, cosmetics as well as sweets and ice cream.
